Billboard named “Don’t Wanna Fight” as one of the best singles of the week upon its release, noting, “[Lead singer] Brittany Howard makes raw pain feel sensual.” NPR Music’s Ann Powers said, “This is the heart of soul music: transcendence intertwined with an unflagging sense of being in the thick of life, the sound of ordinary people heroically getting by.”

Fans who pre-order the digital album will instantly receive “Don’t Wanna Fight” and “Gimme All Your Love.” Sound & Color can also be pre-ordered on either 180-gram vinyl or Limited Edition clear vinyl.
