Nine Inch Nails’ First-ever Network Television Performance Is Tonight – On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“Tension 2013” Tour Continues With Show At Staples Center In Los Angeles Tomorrow, November 8

When Nine Inch Nails plays the outdoor stage of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” tonight, it will mark the band’s first-ever network television performance. The show airs on ABC at 11:35 p.m./10:35 p.m. Central.

The band will play a hometown show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center tomorrow, November 8, as part of its “Tension 2013” fall arena tour. Nine Inch Nails’ lineup for the run includes Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Robin Finck, Lisa Fischer, Sharlotte Gibson, Pino Palladino, Trent Reznor and Ilan Rubin. The band is touring in support of Hesitation Marks (Columbia Records), which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts and was awarded four stars by Rolling Stone, People, USA Today and Alternative Press.

After Nine Inch Nails’ intimate record release show at the Troubadour, the Los Angeles Times observed, “no band can call up a wraithful wail of noise like NIN” while Billboard noted, “NIN have a reputation as one of rock’s greatest live bands, but this show found the group attaining new heights…This might be the most exciting incarnation of NIN yet.”

Reviewing the band’s show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the New York Post praised Nine Inch Nails’ “brilliantly brutal music. Backed with a five-piece band, a couple of occasional back up singers and a light show that looked like it took the help of ex-NASA engineers to create, Reznor put on an unrelenting two hour, 15 minute performance.” Nine Inch Nails’ evening at The Palace of Auburn Hills was “one of the year’s best concerts…a resplendent knockout from the start” according to the Detroit News and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch hailed the Chaifetz Arena show as “one of those as-good-as-it-gets blowouts.” The band’s performance at last weekend’s Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans ranked No. 1 on SPIN’s list of the “5 Best Things We Saw on Saturday.” For tour information, visit http://nin.com.
